Improvement process

Projects are continually updated. It could be a new feature requested by a customer, changes in business rules, requirement changes, to add products and/or options in a quotation software, changes in production constraints or continual improvement (fixes and/or optimization), softwares are continuously tested and updated.

Verdun Windows and Doors

Windows and doors preview software developed for Verdun Doors and Windows. This software can import a picture of a house facade and a sales consultant can add windows, steel doors and shutters in front of it. The consultant can than configure the grids, the exterior paint color and correctly position each corners of the element on the picture in order to offer the consumer a taste of the final result or simply to help him decide which color will give the best result!

Dumoulin Paint

Create an extranet able to manage orders and customer billing.

Aluminart Architectural

A computer assisted design software (CAD) for bay and bow windows for Aluminart Architectural Inc. The main objective was to create a software able to create technical drawings by users without or with little knowledge of technical drawings.

The software automatically adjusts all dimensions when the user adjusts a measurement. It's then faster to use the software instead of generating a drawing entirely in a program like AutoCAD^®.

Aluminart Architectural

Production system for a windows and doors manufacturer. The system imports data generated by a quotation software then computes its BOM (bill of materials) according to the products properties (frame, sash, sizes, glass type, etc.) and options selected (paint color, grids configuration, etc.).

Once components list is evaluated and calculated, the system generates the required reports for the manufacturing plant (summary reports, specific components reports, purchase order to suppliers, labels printed on thermal printer Zebra, data files for machinery, etc.).

In order to do it, we used the core structure of CXQuotes (user interfaces, data structures, software architecture, validations and price calculations algorithms, constraints methods, etc.) already existing. Then we use CXQuotes tools to configure products, products and options properties, price lists and constraints of their products.

A quotation software created for Verdun windows and doors. Initially create for Notre-Dame de Grâce branch, it is now installed and used in all Verdun windows and doors branches since 2012.

Cogitrix

Quotation software for windows and doors market able to load a manufacturer's price module. Products and options interfaces are dynamic according to manufacturer's database content.

This software development was made with the objective of achieving a compromise between customization and the standardization. Prices are calculated in real time according to actions of users. There is no need to click a button to update the price. Doing a quote only takes a few clicks.
